Weight/ply: Heavy DK or worsted weight 10 ply
Fibre: Polwarth and a small amount of Romney.
Meterage: 170-180m (185-195 yd) / 100g
Needles: 4.5- 6mm
Approximate gauge:
Due to the nature of my small batch mini commercial mill my yarn is not like fully commercial yarn and has character to it more like a combo between a commercial and handspun yarn. Each batch is measured on a McMorrin scale to calculate an approximate meterage per 100g. PLEASE ENJOY the non-commercial qualities of the yarn. The hands on work that has gone into producing this skein. Kettle dyed yarn is fully submerged in a dye bath after spinning and skeining and produces a 'semi solid' colour but with a tonal effect (it is not a flat colour). Once again the the small batch mini mill approach is part of its Little Mill Over the Hill character.
All of my yarn is non-superwash. Gentle wash with appropriate product such as Powerscour Fibre Wash. Do not wring Towel dry, lay flat until completely dry (in the shade). Pure wool only requires OCCASIONAL washing. Air washing is also recommmended.
