Muted Blues n Hues

This is my Polswarth sheep, Skitty’s fleece (the mid colours) spun in the mill and dyed in the skein to the blues n hues. Will be lovely for colourwork and reminds me of yarn used for fairisle.  

Weight / ply :  Light Worsted DK or 8 ply

Fibre :    Polswarth

Meterage:  210m (230 yd) 100g

Needles : 3.75 to 4.5 mm (US 5 to 7)

Approximate gauge:

Due to the nature of my small batch mill, yarn is not like fully commercial yarn and often looks more like a handspun with variations in thickness throughout the yarn.  Each batch is measured on a McMorrin scale to give an approximate length per 100g.  Please enjoy the non-commercial qualities of the yarn.

Care Instructions:  All of my yarn is non-superwash.  Gentle wash with appropriate product such as Powerscour® Fibre wash.  Do not wring.  Towel dry and then lay flat until completely dry (in the shade).  With pure wool only occasional washing is recommended.
